D&I proposal for j. walter thompson

Course: "Communication Law & Ethics" (PRAD 575) taught by Professor Maria De Moya, Ph.D., is required course in the PR & Advertising program at DePaul University. This course covers the ethical and legal responsibilities that advertising and public relations professionals encounter in their practice. Students will review legal topics including the First Amendment, libel, privacy and copyright. Additionally, they will analyze and apply the code of ethics that inform public relations and advertising in the U.S. They will learn the ethical values and principles that guide the practice, while discussing issues such as responsible advocacy, public communication campaigns and corporate social responsibility.

As the final project for this course we prepared a proposal for an agency about how to address an ethical issue.

Agency: J. Walter Thompson. Given the lack of diversity and recent CEO scandal, we thought this would be a great agency to analyze.
